Bentwood’s Sports complex is an award-winning facility that was completely updated in 2016. Bentwood Country Club Tennis was awarded the prestigious United States Tennis Association National Facility of the year award in 2017, naming it the nation’s top private tennis facility. The facility features 11 lighted tennis courts, a full-service 5000 square foot fitness center, and multi-purpose synthetic sport field with basketball court, volleyball court and soccer field as well as a courtside bar and grill. The Courtside Bar and Grill is a full-service kitchen and bar operation that services the Sports Complex.
Our Director of Racquet Sports and her staff of Professionals and Fitness instructors offer members year-round programming. Tennis programming includes leagues, tournaments, adult and junior lessons and clinics, and an association with the USTA League. The fitness center has full time fitness trainers that offer fitness programs including fitness classes, yoga and concierge fitness training programs, tailor made for the members needs. The Pro Shop stocks top of the line tennis and fitness merchandise at competitive prices as well as custom racket stringing and repair service.
Bentwood was the first club in West Texas to feature the sport of Pickleball. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the United States and is fun and challenging for all ages. Bentwood constructed the Billy Roberson Pickleball center in 2013 in honor of longtime member and Pickleball enthusiast Billy Roberson. The center has four, full sized, lighted pickleball courts with viewing area. Bentwood has a resident Pickleball Professional and offers introductory clinics, leagues and events. The Pickleball players are fun and inviting and always happy to see new people getting involved.
Sporting a full renovation in 2014, the Bentwood Pool offers refreshing fun in the sun activities for the entire family from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Bentwood pool offers a fun zone wading pool for toddlers with water features. The tanning pool area is perfect for mom and is in close proximity to the wading pool. The spacious junior olympic size swimming pool is perfect for sunning, swimming, and private parties. The pool offers a diving board, water volleyball and basketball as well as lap swimming. The pool staff is always offering up fun activities for the entire family.
Bentwood’s clubhouse underwent a two-million-dollar renovation in 2015. The new clubhouse is open to members and their guests for special functions, dining, and private parties. The Veranda restaurant has a live action kitchen with pizza oven and a full-service bar. The Veranda patio overlooks the golf practice area and has a full service outside bar and fire pit for members to gather at and enjoy. The Bentwood Ballroom has the ability to service large weddings and meetings of up to 250 people and the club also has a variety of private rooms available for business meetings or parties with details and all the necessities handled by our professionally trained staff.
